Jen Aggleton

PhD Student in Education

I am a qualified primary school teacher and librarian, with research interests in children's literature and culture, especially in the areas of children's personal and creative responses to texts. I also have a particular interest in children's rights and the ethics of children's involvement in libraries and research.

My PhD project explores how illustrations affect the way that children make meaning from and respond personally to novels, with the hope of making recommendations for teaching pedagogy.
